About Me

I like Prince, Dorothy Dandridge, Pumpkin pancakes, Charles Baudelaire poetry, laughing for no reason and playing with kitties. Just trying to find myself and lose myself at the same time.

  1. Chris Evans has me under his spell

Yup, It happened. I still love Renner first and foremost, but Evans could definitely get it.

It starts. Like last year… The Dark Knight Rises is coming, it’s coming and you can’t stop it. Posters are coming, promos are coming, photos are coming, soundtrack is coming, The Dark Knight Rises is coming. The Nolan Fandom will rise from the ashes and strike tumblr death.

Like we did last year, like Inception, we will rise.

  6. I had to unfollow a Jeremy Renner blog

I know, I know…what in the world was I thinking? I didn’t think it would happen either, but I can’t stand spam. And by spam I mean posting the exact same thing 20 damn times on my feed. Yes, I get it. There’s a big announcement tomorrow. Now unless you’re gonna post something new then it’s just irritating to keep scrolling through the same post over and over. I’ll re-follow tomorrow after the announcement, no hard feelings.

  9. Numerology is no Joke

So I just decided to do a numerology reading in regards to Life Challenges.

You find your numbers, based on your birthday, which will represent a first sub challenge, a second sub challenge and a third sub challenge.

The first sub challenge occurs during the first part of the life, and the second sub challenge occurs during the second half of the life. The Final Challenge is a potential weakness and problem throughout the entire life.

    My numbers were:

    Sub challenge one= 3

    Sub challenge two= 0

    Final Sub challenge= 3

So I find it interesting that my first and final sub challenges are the same number, which is also my main number in numerology and here is what it says:

    “Challenge 3

The challenge of the number 3 suggests a tendency to scatter talents and try to do too many things at once during this period of your life. You may have a fine imagination and a gift for words, but you find it hard to express yourself effectively. Though you know you should cultivate friends and be sociable, you tend to be somewhat reclusive and defensive. You may have a talent for writing, acting, or speaking, but you are reluctant to involve yourself with these sorts of activities because you do not like to face the prospects of criticism. You are expressing yourself with a negative emphasis, hiding your creative talents behind a wall of shyness. You must strive to develop yourself in a social and in a creative sense. It’s hard to just relax and have a good time.”

Not only does this explain almost exactly how I’m feeling and what I’m going through right now, but how lovely to discover that this is a challenge I will face my entire life and constantly have to overcome. Haha! I’m not even mad about it to be honest. I just think it’s funny and completely appropriate. It also shows me that what I’ve learned from my sessions with Stephanie has been validated and that I also am on the correct path. I just have to make sure I continue to stay focused and always be aware of myself mentally, physically and my shadow side.

Also, my second half of my life challenge says:
“Challenge 0 The obstacles life during this period may not be many, or they may be coming from all directions. The challenge of the number 0 is called the challenge of choice. You are likely to have difficulty acting on your preferences. You are perfectly capable of analyzing a situation and realistically comparing possible solutions. The challenge of 0 may make bring this decision to requisite action very difficult for you. To overcome the challenge, it should be understood that you must have the faith in your own abilities to the extent that you can analyze, make a choice, then act with ease and comfort. This challenge is one that is normally found on in a highly evolved individual and an individual who can be expected to make your own decisions about life and know where the pitfalls lie. To meet the challenge of 0 you must have control of all of the numbers; the independence of 1, the diplomacy of 2, the optimism of 3, the application of 4, the understanding of 5, the adjustment of 6, the wisdom of the 7, the constructive power of 8, the universal service of 9. In other words, to meet the challenge of 0 in your life, you must be a very gifted person.”

  10. A Dying God Coming Into Human Flesh: Joss Whedon on Avengers/Dark Knight Rises "competition..."

Our successes, whoever has the mostest, are a boon to each other. We’re in the business of proving that superhero movies aren’t just eye-candy (they’re eye-truffles!). People seem intent on setting us against each other, and though I’m proud to be Woody Strode to Nolan’s Kirk Douglas, I think…

Even more reason to like Joss Whedon. :)

    - Before anyone gets angry, I totally loved the Avengers and I’m so not on that rivalry shit…but this quote cracked me up and I had to share it. That is all. :)

  14. Wally Fuckin’ Pfister

    spuzzhardwick:

Nolan gets all the praise for his brilliant Batman films but let’s not forget Wally Pfister. I fucking love you Wally Pfister. Nolan is the painter. Pfister sets up the canvas so beautifully! Oh yeah David S. Goyer and Jonathan Nolan don’t get much cred either. But still….Pfister!!!!!

I absolutely agree with this. I’m in love with Chris Nolan, but Wally PFister definitely deserves so much credit for what he does. One of the best Cinematographers in the business.

Nolan/Nolan/Pfister and Goyer are a dream team.

  16. "Films are subjective-what you like, what you don’t like. But the thing for me that is absolutely unifying is the idea that every time I go to the cinema and pay my money and sit down and watch a film go up on-screen, I want to feel that the people who made that film think it’s the best movie in the world, that they poured everything into it and they really love it. Whether or not I agree with what they’ve done, I want that effort there-I want that sincerity. And when you don’t feel it, that’s the only time I feel like I’m wasting my time at the movies."
